Sacramento, California (April 17, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday night traffic accident that killed a 39-year-old Good Samaritan and left two other parties injured in Sacramento.

The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 8:15 p.m., on April 16, on Folsom Boulevard and Bradshaw Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

Following the collision, a car that was near the scene stopped on a westbound Folsom Boulevard lane, and a woman got out of the car to help. Another eastbound car on Folsom Boulevard stopped in the center lane, and a woman in that car also got out to help.

Unfortunately, another vehicle traveling on the roadway was unable to stop in time and ended up crashing into the two Good Samaritans and a Hyundai Sonata.

Sadly one of the Good Samaritans, the 39-year-old woman, sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

The pedestrian who was first struck sustained major injuries in the collision.

The other Good Samaritan, a 33-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.

Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
