Guerneville Girl Killed in Santa Rosa Hit-and-Run Accident at Piner Road and Bay Village Circle
Santa Rosa, California (December 30, 2020) – A girl was killed Monday afternoon in an alleged DUI accident in Santa Rosa, according to a local news source.
At around 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, emergency personnel responded to the area of Piner Road and Bay Village Circle for a report of a traffic accident.
Upon arrival, they determined that a car crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Piner Road and Bay Village Circle.
The driver of the car, a 16-year-old Santa Rosa girl, fled the scene but was later located near the intersection of Coffey Lane and Piner Road. Authorities determined that the teen driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.
A 14-year-old Guerneville girl, who was riding as a passenger in the back seat of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. Her name was withheld pending notification of her relatives.
No other details about the accident were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
