Man Injured in Gilroy Motorcyclist Crash at Dougherty and Miramonte Avenues
Gilroy, California (May 11, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was injured in a road accident in Gilroy Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:11 p.m. May 7, in the area of Dougherty and Miramonte avenues.
The California Highway Patrol report said that a vehicle and a man riding a sports bike collided for unknown reasons at the intersection of the roadway. Due to the impact, the rider was thrown down on the highway.
A male party was sustained significant injuries following the wreck. He was attended to by the paramedics who responded at the scene after a few minutes. The identity of the injured party and the current condition has not been revealed to this time.
It was not clear whether or not the driver of the involved car stopped after the crash and cooperated with the authorities.
Meanwhile, the investigation is still ongoing.
