Gilberto Camarena Identified as Man Killed in Perris Pedestrian Crash on Escondido (215) Freeway near D Street
Perris, California (July 26, 2020) – Gilberto Camarena, 23, of La Puente, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Perris, police said.
As per the police log, the crash happened at about 10:50 p.m. on Escondido (215) Freeway near D Street.
The CHP said Camarena was struck by a vehicle on the northbound side of the freeway. It was not clear why he was on the roadway at the time.

Camarena was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
