Gilbert Rodriguez II ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Crash at H Street and Hendricks Lane

Bakersfield, California (July 16, 2020) – The motorcyclist who was killed Tuesday evening in a traffic crash at an intersection in Bakersfield has been identified by the Kern County Sheriff’s Coroner.
Gilbert Rodriguez II, 22, died in the wreck that happened at around 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the intersection of South H Street and Hendricks Lane.
Authorities said Rodriguez was riding his motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a car at the intersection.
Rodriguez was transported to Kern Medical, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was cooperative, police said. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the collision.
