Gasquet, CA: Major-Injury Head-On Crash on Highway 199
Man Hospitalized after Highway 199 Accident near Patrick Creek
Gasquet, California (January 8, 2019) – A man was hospitalized Sunday night after a head-on collision in Gasquet, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 8:25 p.m. Sunday, January 6 on Highway 199, just east of Patrick Creek.
Police said for an unknown reason a green Subaru Legacy collided with a black Mitsubishi on Highway 199.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated a man who was trapped inside the Subaru. He was then transported by ambulance to a hospital with major injuries.
The Mitsubishi driver complained of pain to his collarbone and was given a ride into town.
The crash remains under investigation.
