Gary Styles Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on S 37th Street in Richmond
Gary Styles ID’d as Man Killed in Richmond Crash on South 37th Street and Carlson Boulevard
Richmond, California (June 24, 2021) – The man who was killed early Thursday morning in a traffic collision in Richmond has been identified by the authorities as Gary Styles, 66, of Oakland.
At around 2:20 a.m. authorities responded to the area of South 37th Street and Carlson Boulevard, to investigate the report of a two-car crash.
According to the authorities, an Audi SUV was heading northbound on Carson Boulevard when, for an unknown reason, it t-boned an Acura sedan that had pulled into the intersection at South 37th Street.
Deadly Richmond Car Crash
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated Styles who was trapped inside the wrecked Acura. He was then taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Audi and their three passengers were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The names of the patients and their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
All four patients were expected to survive.
Authorities later determined that the driver of the Audi may have been driving under the influences of alcohol and/or drugs.
