Palmdale, California (April 6, 2021) – A 9-year-old boy was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday night in Palmdale.

Gary Foster, 56, of Los Angeles, has been identified as one of the four people who were injured in a single–vehicle accident that killed a 9-year-old boy on Monday night in Palmdale, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 10:50 p.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Avenue N.

The CHP said a 2008 Kia Spectra was traveling on the roadway when Foster lost control and crashed into a center divider.

The 9-year-old boy, from Kern County, California City, was thrown from the 2008 Kia Spectra and was pronounced dead at the scene,

Foster sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.

A 28-year-old woman in the car was also transported to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

A 1-year-old boy and a 1-month-old boy riding in the car were also hospitalized with moderate injuries.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
