Rider Hospitalized after Garden Grove Crash on State Route 22 near Beach Boulevard
Garden Grove, California (July 18, 2021) – A bicyclist was hospitalized Friday evening following a traffic collision in Garden Grove, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was reported just after 8:25 p.m. Friday, July 16, on State Route 22 near the Beach Boulevard off-ramp. State Route 22 is also known as Garden Grove Freeway.
A black Buick sedan collided with the bicyclist in the westbound lane of the highway.
The male rider was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
No further details regarding the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
