Crows Landing, California (July 18, 2021) – Cesar Bravo, 24, has been identified as the man who was injured in a Friday morning traffic accident that killed one other person in Crows Landing, authorities said.

The deadly accident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on Eastin Road, a little over half-mile south of Highway 33.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Alberto Toscano, 60, of Newman, was headed southbound in a John Deere tractor towing a sprayer tank when a Chevrolet pickup rear-ended him.

Following the collision, the tractor went off the west side of the road, where it flipped over and the trailer wrapped around a power pole. The pickup went into a field on the east side of the roadway.

Sadly, Toscano, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected onto the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bravo told investigators the sun was coming up and in his eyes, limiting his visibility. He sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
