Man Killed in Fresno County Pedestrian Crash on Highway 145 near Belmont Avenue
Fresno County, California (January 23, 2021) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Fresno County, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 7:00 p.m., on January 22, on Highway 47, north of Belmont Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian allegedly walked directly in the path of a car for undetermined reasons.
Unfortunately, he was struck and thrown onto the northbound lane due to the force of the impact.
Pedestrian Killed in Highway 145 Crash
Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
