Woman Hospitalized after Fresno Accident at Shaw and Thorne Avenues
Fresno, California (November 27, 2020) – A female party was hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening at an intersection in Fresno, a local news source reported.
The deadly pedestrian accident was reported at about 6:00 p.m., November 25, on Shaw and Thorne avenues.
A vehicle of unspecified make and built reportedly struck the pedestrian while attempting to cross the street outside of a marked crosswalk.
The driver stopped and rendered aid to the victim.
Fresno Pedestrian Accident Results in Critical Injuries
The woman, in her 60s, was hospitalized at Community Regional Medical Center with critical injuries sustained in the wreck.
Meanwhile, intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
