Boy Critically Injured in Fresno Crash at Palm and Pinedale Avenues

Fresno, California (January 26, 2021) – A head-on collision has left a 13-year-old boy critically injured Monday night at an intersection in Fresno, according to authorities.
The major injury collision happened at about 8:15 p.m. Monday, January 25, at the intersection of Palm and Pinedale Avenues.
A black SUV reportedly veered across into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming white panel van.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated the 13-year-old passenger from the wrecked van. He was then transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities later determined that the SUV driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. The driver was ultimately arrested and booked into custody on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injuries.
