Fresno Accident at Mount Whitney and East Avenue Results in Injuries
Fresno, California (January 24, 2021) – Several victims were hospitalized after being involved in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Fresno Saturday morning.
At around 8 a.m., January 23, authorities received a report of a crash involving an ambulance and a truck in the area of Mount Whitney and East Avenue.
The accident began when the ambulance was responding to another traffic accident in the morning hours. The ambulance was then hit by the big rig that failed to stop for a stop sign at the Fresno intersection.
Due to the impact, the ambulance overturned.
Several Hospitalized after Fresno 2-Vehicle Accident
Two victims riding in the truck sustained unspecified injuries following the mishap.
Meanwhile, medical personnel transported the medics in the ambulance to an area hospital for further medication.
Intoxication was not considered as a factor in the wreck.
The accident remains under active investigation.
