At Least 1 Injured in 880 Freeway Car Collision near Thornton Avenue in Fremont

Fremont, California (August 28, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday afternoon in Fremont, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred at about 4:38 p.m. on southbound 880 Freeway, just north of Thornton Avenue off-ramp.
CHP officers said a white Hyundai Elantra and a silver Toyota Camry collided for unknown reasons.
One of the drivers hit their head o the steering wheel and complained of pain to the back after the crash. An ambulance was requested to the scene to provide medical aid to the victim. It was not clear if the patient was transported to the hospital.
The vehicles were towed away from the collision scene.
CHP is investigating the incident.
