Fremont, California (July 1, 2021) – A male pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver as he pushed a cart Wednesday night in Fremont, according to authorities.

The major injury pedestrian collision occurred at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, near the intersection of Peralta Boulevard and Dusterberry Way.

Police said the pedestrian was pushing a cart full of recyclables and personal items when he was hit by a vehicle.

Major Injury Hit-and-Run Accident in Fremont

The pedestrian sustained major injuries in the crash.

The driver involved fled the scene before authorities arrived.  There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
