Francisco Cruz Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 near Rosedale Highway
Bakersfield, California (April 28, 2021) – 33-year-old Francisco Javier Hernandez Cruz has been identified as the man who died after being struck by a car in Bakersfield on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on southbound Highway 99 near Rosedale Highway at about 6:29 p.m. April 27.
Cruz was riding a motorcycle on the roadway when he made an unsafe turn and crashed into the rear of a big rig’s trailer.
The impact of the crash ejected the rider from his motorcycle.

Cruz was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
