2 Passengers Killed in 91 Freeway Crash in Yorba Linda

Yorba Linda, California (February 24, 2020) – Two elderly passengers died in a two-vehicle crash that happened early Sunday morning on 91 Freeway in Yorba Linda, a local news source reported.
As per the article, the Orange County Coroner’s Office said Francisca Solis, 91, and Trinidad Solis, 70, died when their SUV collided with another car at about 3:25 a.m. on 91 Freeway about half a mile east of the 91/241 Toll Road interchange.
The manner of the crash was not mentioned, but authorities said one of the vehicles may have been stopped on the freeway just before the collision happened.
The two elderly women were airlifted to UCI Medical Center, where they were both pronounced dead shortly after arrival. It remained unclear if the two passengers were related.
Officers closed the freeway for several hours as investigators worked the scene.
