27-Year-Old Fontana Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Keenbrook Crash on Cajon Boulevard and Keenbrook Road
Keenbrook, California (January 11, 2021) – A Fontana woman was killed and two other people were injured Sunday night in a traffic accident in Keenbrook near the Cajon Pass, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash, which involved two vehicles, happened at around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, January 10, on Cajon Boulevard and Keenbrook Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 2007 Ford Escort was heading southbound on Cajon Boulevard, approaching Keenbrook Road at approximately 45 miles per hour, while a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Cajon Boulevard, approaching Keenbrook Road at the same speed.
The Honda Accord reportedly made a left turn onto Keenbrook Road and was hit on the passenger side by the Ford Escort.
Deadly Crash on Cajon Boulevard in Keenbrook
A 27-year-old Fontana woman, who was riding as a passenger in the Ford Escort, was ejected from the vehicle upon the impact. She was taken to San Bernardino Community Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The drivers of the Ford Escort and Honda Accord sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The name of the deceased woman was withheld pending notification of her family.
