Fontana, California (July 1, 2021) – One person suffered major injuries in a traffic collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in Fontana, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident occurred at around 3:07 p.m. on westbound 10 Freeway, near Citrus Avenue.

The report said a blue Ford Mustang spun out of control and struck a gray truck and trailer parked on the right shoulder.

One person sustained a laceration to the left side of their head. It was not mentioned if the patient was an occupant of the Mustang or the truck.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
