Flor Zurita Injured in Santa Rosa Pedestrian Accident at Santa Rosa Avenue and Bellevue Avenue

Santa Rosa, California (January 15, 219) – A woman was hit and injured by a vehicle Monday morning while walking to work in Santa Rosa, according to police.
The pedestrian accident took place at about 7:00 a.m. Monday, January 14 at the intersection of Santa Rosa Avenue and Bellevue Avenue.
Police said Flor Valle Zurita, 34, of Santa Rosa, was walking westbound in the crosswalk at the intersection while a Toyota Prius driven by Curtis Hardin, 60, of Sonoma, was heading southbound on Santa Rosa Avenue.
Hardin didn’t see the woman until it was too late. However, he attempted to swerve but struck the woman.
Zurita was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with multiple broken bones.
According to the police, it was still dark at the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
