2 People Killed in Firebaugh Truck Accident at Highway 33 and Douglas Avenue
Firebaugh, California (June 20, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning head-on collision that killed two truck drivers in Firebaugh.
The deadly two-pick-up truck accident transpired at about 5:48 a.m. in the area of Highway 33 and Douglas Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the pick-up trucks was traveling northbound on the highway, and the other, which was towing farm equipment, was heading southbound.
Unfortunately, the northbound truck drifted into the other lane and collided head-on with the other truck, the officials said.
Following the collision, both trucks reportedly caught fire.
Sadly, the two drivers sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
