11 Injured in Fillmore Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 126 Near Cavin Road

Fillmore, California (May 29, 2019) – A total of 11 people were hurt in a traffic accident in Fillmore Tuesday afternoon.
The collision was reported just before 5:30 p.m. May 28, along Highway 126, also known as East Telegraph Road.
The California Highway Patrol report indicated that a total of five vehicles were involved in the wreck. Due to the impact of the collision, one of the cars involved rolled over, and another one went 40 feet off the side of the highway. The precise circumstance that leads to the occurrence of the accident has not yet been disclosed.
At least one person was reported to have ejected from one of the cars involved following the crash. The paramedics offered eleven people first aid treatment along with the Ventura County Fire Department officials who arrived at the scene shortly after the collision.
Two of the victims sustained severe injuries while another two suffered moderate hurts in the crash. The others were reported to have sustained minor wounds. Five victims were rushed to a local hospital by a land ambulance while one was airlifted for medication. The identities and current condition of the patients have not yet been released to this time.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
