Eureka, California (March 6, 2019) – Major injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle crash in Eureka Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck was reported shortly after 5:47 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 on Highway 255 at Samoa Bridge.

According to the CHP, the accident involved a Volkswagen Bug, a Toyota truck and another vehicle of unspecified built and type. One of the vehicles involved rolled over and landed onto its side after the impact.

Paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the involved parties. The CHP said an unknown number of parties sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
