Ernesto Almazo Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 in Sunnyvale
Ernesto Almazo ID’d as Motorcyclist Injured in Sunnyvale Crash on Highway 101 near Lawrence Expressway Off-Ramp

Sunnyvale, California (January 17, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was injured Wednesday morning in a traffic accident in Sunnyvale has been identified as Ernesto Almazo, 30, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at about 7:46 a.m. Wednesday, January 16 on Highway 101 near Lawrence Expressway off-ramp.
CHP said Almazo was riding a motorcycle on Highway 101 when for reasons still under investigation his bike collided with a black Lexus GS that was heading northbound on Highway 101.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and found the injured motorcyclist lying in the center divider after the crash.
Reportedly, Almazo sustained minor injuries to his right arm. It was immediately unclear if he was treated at the scene or was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Authorities shut down the No. 1 lane during the investigation.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
