Boy Killed in Elk Grove Bicycle Accident on Whitelock Parkway
Elk Grove, California (October 17, 2020) – A teenage bicyclist was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in Elk Grove, according to authorities.
The deadly bicycle accident occurred at about 3:19 p.m. on Whitelock Parkway.
Authorities said a 14-year-old boy was riding his bicycle across the street inside a pedestrian crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the 14-year-old boy. He was then transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
The name of the deceased boy was withheld pending notification of family.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
