Woman Killed, Two Babies Uninjured in Elk Grove Crash on Interstate 5 near Hood Frankin Road
Elk Grove, California (April 25, 2021) – A single-vehicle rollover crash has claimed the life of a woman Saturday night near Elk Grove and left two babies unhurt, according to authorities.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24, the authorities received a report regarding a white SUV that was being driven recklessly on the southbound side of Interstate 5 near Laguna Boulevard.
Moments later, the driver of the SUV, a 32-year-old woman, reportedly lost control and crossed over the center median.
The vehicle then went across northbound lanes and overturned before coming to a rest on its roof in a field on the east side of the interstate.
Deadly Car Crash on Interstate 5 in Elk Grove
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the two infants were transported to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
It is undetermined whether intoxication played a role in the crash.
