El Monte, CA: 1 Hospitalized after Traffic Crash on 10 Freeway
1 Injured in El Monte Accident on 10 Freeway at Santa Anita Avenue
El Monte, California (March 23, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after a car accident that happened Monday afternoon on 10 Freeway in El Monte, the California Highway Patrol said.
As per the CHP, two vehicles collided at about 1:16 p.m. in the eastbound lanes at Santa Anita Avenue.
A dark-gray Mercedes-Benz C300 and a silver Honda Civic were involved in the crash.
A federal police officer was on the scene in a marked vehicle but was not involved in the pileup.
The report said a female party in the Mercedes was injured.
Care ambulance responded to the scene and transported one person to Greater El Monte Community Hospital with minor injuries. The report did not specify if the victim hospitalized was the female party.
CHP is working to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.
