El Dorado County, California (April 26, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident near the Camino and Placerville areas in El Dorado County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The major injury wreck was reported just after noon Saturday, April 24, at the intersection of Highway 50 and Sierra Blanca Drive.

As per the CHP report, a black Toyota Camry collided with a possibly a gray Subaru SUV on the eastbound side of the highway.

One person was taken to a local hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.

The roadway was closed due to the crash.
