44-Year-Old Emeterio Millan Killed in El Centro Bicycle Accident on Highway 111
El Centro, California (September 30, 2019) – The bicyclist who was killed Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in El Centro has been identified as Emeterio Millan, 44.
The deadly accident happened on Highway 111 Sunday, September 29.
According to the CHP, a 31-year-old El Centro woman was driving on Highway 111 when for an unknown reason, she allowed her vehicle to drift off the road and struck the four bicyclists who were traveling northbound.

One of the bicyclists, now identified as Millan, died in the crash.Two others victims suffered minor injuries and the third victim had severe injuries.
Authorities said all the bicycle riders were Mexican nationals. The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene, but was later arrested by authorities. The suspect was booked into the Imperial County Jail on charges of a felony hit-and-run and being an unlicensed driver.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
