At Least 2 Injured in El Cajon Car Crash at Ballantyne Street and Greenfield Drive
El Cajon, California (January 22, 2019) – At least two people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Tuesday afternoon in El Cajon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred at about 1:21 p.m. at the intersection of Ballantyne Street and Greenfield Drive.
Five vehicles were involved in the collision. Authorities said the crash was possibly triggered by a car which crashed into another parked car and then a tree. It was not clear how the other vehicles were involved in the pileup.
At least two drivers suffered unspecified injuries in the crash. The victims were taken to hospitals for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is in progress.
