Man Seriously Injured in El Cajon Bicycle Accident on South First Street near Lexington Avenue
El Cajon, California (February 4, 2021) – A bicyclist was struck and severely injured by a vehicle Wednesday night in El Cajon, according to a local news source.
The major injury accident happened at around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3 on South First Street near Lexington Avenue.
Authorities said a sedan was making a turn into a driveway when, for unknown reasons, it struck a man who was riding his bicycle in a bicycle lane on South First Street.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the bicyclist conscious and bleeding from his head. He was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego with a possible broken leg.
The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
The police do not suspect the driver of the sedan was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
