Elk Grove, California (April 23, 2021) – The motorcyclist who died Wednesday afternoon following a traffic accident at an intersection in Elk Grove has been identified by the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner’s Office as Edwin Osorio, 31, of Elk Grove.
The deadly motorcycle accident occurred at around 3:47 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, on Willard Parkway at Blossom Ridge Drive.
The authorities said Osorio was riding a motorcycle northbound on Willard Parkway when he failed to stop for the posted stop sign and slammed into the side of a truck that was heading westbound.
The impact caused Osorio to be ejected from the bike and landed on his head. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Osorio was taken to Kaiser South, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and was cooperated with the investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
