Ebodio Castro Injured in DUI Crash on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa
Ebodio Castro Identified as Victim Injured in Santa Rosa Car Accident on Highway 101 near Santa Rosa Exit

Santa Rosa, California (July 11, 2020) – Ebodio Osorio Castro, 40, of Rohnert Park, has been identified as the person who was injured in an alleged DUI crash on Thursday morning in Santa Rosa, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 7:10 a.m., on July 9, on northbound Highway 101 near the downtown Santa Rosa exit.
The CHP said a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Star Baggett-Porter, 31, of Arizona, was traveling northbound in the left lane of Highway 101 when, for unknown reasons, it rear-ended a 2014 Toyota Tacoma, driven Luis Orea Ortiz, 37, of Rohnert Park.
As a result of the collision, Ortiz lost control of his truck and crashed into a 2003 Nissan Frontier, driven by Ebodio Osorio Castro, 40, of Rohnert Park.
The crash impact caused both the Chevrolet and the Nissan to overturned. The Chevrolet spilled roofing nails which scattered across the lanes. Ortiz’s Toyota continued past the freeway’s edge and plunged down an embankment, the officials said.

Castro sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Ortiz was not injured in the mishap.
Baggett-Porter was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on $100,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear before a judge on Monday afternoon, July 13.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped due to the accident. As of 8:30 a.m., the highway was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
