Minor Injuries Sustained in Highway 101 Collision near University Avenue in East Palo Alto
East Palo Alto, California (January 2, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that happened Wednesday morning on Highway 101 in East Palo Alto.
According to a California Highway Patrol release, the accident happened at about 8:10 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the highway, just south of University Avenue off-ramp.
As per the report, the collision involved three vehicles. Officers had not yet established the manner of the crash as at the time of the report.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to offer medical aid to an unknown number of parties who sustained minor injuries.
At least two tow trucks were needed to clear the crash scene.
As at this time, the cause of the collision and the responsible party remain unknown. Authorities are collecting information that will help them establish how the accident happened and who will take responsibility.
