East County, CA: Fatal Fiery Rollover Accident on Interstate 8
1 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in East County Crash on Interstate 8
East County, California (November 28, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon traffic accident that killed one person and left another critically injured in East County.
The deadly single-vehicle accident happened just before 2:00 p.m. on southbound Interstate 8 near the In-Ko-Pah turnoff and the Imperial County border.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a witness told the officials that a vehicle rolled down an embankment and caught fire. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.
First responders arrived at the scene and found a woman reportedly responsive and trapped in the smoking vehicle. One other person was ejected from the car.

Sadly, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was critically injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
