Earlimart, California (March 12, 2019) – A person was hit and killed by a Greyhound bus on Sunday night in Earlimart, Tulare County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian accident took place at about 9:00 p.m. March 11, on Highway 99 near Avenue 24.

The pedestrian was struck by the bus, which was traveling on Highway 99 northbound. The bus driver affirmed to the authorities that he couldn’t avoid the collision as the man had just walked from the median into the roadway.

Pedestrian Dies in Earlimart Bus Crash

The crash left the pedestrian dead. The 23 passengers in the Greyhound bus were not hurt in the collision.

As per the police, the bus driver is cooperating with investigators.
