Driver Killed in Downey Crash on Imperial Highway
Downey, California (April 2, 2021) – One person was killed in a Friday morning traffic accident in Downey, authorities said.
The deadly single-vehicle accident occurred at about 1:40 a.m. in the 8800 block of Imperial Highway.
According to the police, a vehicle was traveling on the roadway when it veered off the highway and crashed into a tree. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
