Man Killed Redding Car Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway ID’d as Douglas Denton
Redding, California (November 12, 2019) – 78-year-old Douglas Nelson Denton of Redding has been identified as the victim killed in a traffic collision involving a truck in Redding last week on Wednesday, according to the Shasta County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly crash happened on November 6, along Interstate 5 Freeway just before the Hilltop overpass.
As per the report, Denton was driving his car in the southbound lanes of the interstate when he collided with a GMC truck that was heading south.

Denton was pronounced dead in the accident.
The initial report indicated that the truck had two passengers at the time of the collision.
Officials said both passengers were able to walk away from the accident.
