At Least 1 Injured in Dixon Car Accident on Highway 113 near Hay Road
Dixon, California (August 22, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a major injury car accident that happened Saturday morning in Dixon.
The California Highway Patrol said at least two vehicles collided head-on at about 6:14 a.m. on Highway 113, just north of Hay Road.
Reportedly, one of the vehicles was passing into oncoming traffic when the accident happened.
An off-duty Dixon Police Department officer was involved in the crash, authorities said.
The crash resulted in major injuries to at least one person. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim.
Two tow trucks were needed to remove the cars from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
