Dinuba, California (June 19, 2019) – Three workers were hospitalized after being exposed to a farm pesticide on Tuesday west of Dinuba, according to the authorities.

The incident happened at a vineyard along Avenue 408 and Road 56 on Tuesday, June 18.

Authorities said the pesticide was being sprayed in a nearby field when the wind blew it into the field where the farm workers were. 63 workers were exposed to the chemical.

3 Hospitalized after Exposure to Pesticides in Dinuba

Three of the workers had symptoms of nausea and vomiting and were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

The pesticide was identified as hexythiazox, which is used to kill mites.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
