Deputy Lance Williams Hospitalized after Calaveras County Crash near Spicer Meadow Reservoir

Calaveras County, California (October 1, 2019) – A sheriff’s deputy was injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver on Saturday night in Calaveras County, according to a local news source.
The wreck took place at about 10 p.m. September 28, near the Spicer Meadow Reservoir.
According to the news source, Deputy Lance Williams was responding to a report of a missing hunter near the reservoir when an oncoming driver crossed the centerline and collided with the patrol car.
Deputy Lance Williams Injured in Calaveras County DUI Collision
Deputy Williams was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas with unknown injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury and driving with a suspended license.
The crash is under investigation.
