Woman Seriously Injured in Del Mar Car Accident on Interstate 5 near De La Valle
Del Mar, California (July 11, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning multi-vehicle crash that left a woman seriously injured in Del Mar.
The major injury accident transpired at about 2:15 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5, south of Via De La Valle.
According to the police, a car collided with a semi-truck on the roadway. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.
As a result of the collision, the car’s engine block was ejected onto the freeway, causing a second accident involving an AMR ambulance.
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated the woman who was trapped in the wreckage.
Major Injury Crash on Interstate 5 in Del Mar
The extricated woman was severely injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
No one was injured in the second collision.
