Dawn Ritter ID’d as Woman Killed in DUI Car Accident at B Street and 9th Street in Marysville

Marysville, California (January 18, 2021) – Authorities have identified the woman who died following an alleged DUI crash Saturday night in Marysville as Dawn L. Ritter,55, of Maryville.
The deadly crash happened at around 11:17 p.m. Saturday, January 16, at the intersection of B Street and 9th Street.
The incident began when the officers attempted to pull over Dominik Cash, 27, of Sacramento, after driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Cash did not stop and sped off. The authorities tracked his 2004 Toyota Solara driving erratically southbound on Highway 70 at speeds more than 100 miles per hour on his way to Marysville.
A spike strip was deployed to stop Cash as he entered Marysville, but the Toyota Solara continued into the city, traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.
When Cash approached the intersection of B Street and 9th Street, he allegedly ran a red light and crashed into a 1998 Toyota Tacoma that was heading eastbound on 9th Street, driven by Ritter.
Drugs or alcohol were considered a factor in the accident. Cash was ultimately arrested and booked into Yuba County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
The crash remains under investigation.
