Male Woodland Resident Dies, Four Hospitalized after Davis Crash at Pole Line Road and County Road 29

Davis, California (March 26, 2021) – A head-on collision has claimed the life of a male Woodland resident Friday night north of Davis and left four other people injured, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Pole Line Road and County Road 29.
The CHP said the male Woodland resident was driving an older-model Honda sedan northbound when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the southbound lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Ford Econoline van.
As a result of the collision, the van overturned and landed in a ditch.
Deadly Crash at Pole Line Road and County Road 29
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Four occupants of the van, three men and one woman, all from Oakland, were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The male driver sustained a broken leg in the crash.
Authorities blocked Pole Line Road for several hours while they conduct an investigation.
