Motorcyclist Killed, Bicyclist Injured in Danville Crash at San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Fountain Springs Road
Danville, California (November 23, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed and a bicyclist was injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident in Danville, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 22, at the intersection of San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Fountain Springs Road.
According to the authorities, the bicyclist was riding in the southbound bicycle lane when the rider lost control and fell in front of the motorcyclist who was heading southbound on San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and performed CPR on the motorcyclist. Despite life-saving measures, the motorcyclist, only identified as a 52-year-old Danville man, did not survive his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
San Ramon Valley Boulevard between Fountain Springs Drive and Elworthy Ranch Road was closed for the investigation.
