Daniel Turchie ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Point Reyes Traffic Accident on Shoreline Highway

Point Reyes, California (September 24, 2020) – Daniel Cameron Turchie, 19, of Pinole, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a traffic accident on Tuesday evening in Point Reyes, according to the coroner’s office.
The crash happened at about 6:00 p.m., on September 22, on Shoreline Highway north of Point Reyes Station and about 300 yards south of the Giacomini Ranch.
According to the police, Turchie was traveling northbound on his motorcycle when he failed to take a sweeping turn in the road, crossed into the other lane, and struck a utility pole.
First responders arrived at the scene and found Turchie 30 feet down an embankment. He was unconscious.

Sadly, Turchie sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The roadway was closed for an unknown period due to the accident.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
