Daniel Snyder ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Lake Berryessa Crash on Highway 128 near Greaves Road
Napa County, California (May 21, 2021) – The Napa County Coroner’s Bureau has identified the motorcyclist who died Wednesday afternoon following a traffic collision near Lake Berryessa in Napa County as Daniel Snyder, 68, of Rio Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident occurred at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, on Highway 128, just east of Greaves Road.
The CHP said Snyder was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson on Highway 128 when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the bike to cross over the double yellow center lines into the opposite lane.
Snyder reportedly traveled into the path of an oncoming truck that was hauling a trailer. Both vehicles ultimately collided.
Rio Vista Man Killed in Lake Berryessa Motorcycle Accident
Snyder, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Authorities blocked Highway 128 in both directions for two and a half hours due to the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
