Daly City, California (December 3, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Thanksgiving Day in Daly City, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened at around 8:15 p.m. Thursday, November 26 on Geneva Avenue, just west of Bayshore Boulevard.

As per the report, a vehicle was heading eastbound on Geneva Avenue approaching Bayshore Boulevard when it hit a 40-year-old man who was walking across Bayshore Boulevard toward the Mylo Hotel.

The vehicle then veered toward oncoming traffic and almost collided with another vehicle.

Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Daly City

First responders arrived and declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver involved in the crash did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is possibly a 2011 to 2014 Toyota Sienna and likely has damage to the front passenger side, including a broken headlight.

Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
