Injuries Reported in Covelo Car Accident on Highway 162 near Highway 101
Covelo, California (July 22, 2021) – Injuries were reported in a head-on collision on Thursday evening west of Covelo, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at around 6:22 p.m. on Highway 162, nearly 24 miles east of Highway 101.
A Honda Ridgeline and a white Chevy Traverse were involved in the crash.

The authorities requested an air ambulance for a 5-year-old boy who suffered chest injuries.
Another child was evaluated for possible injuries.
One patient reportedly declined medical transport.
The crash caused a closure of both sides of the highway.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
